Attorney Mary Santez focuses her practice on family law and criminal defense. In the area of family law Mary handles divorce, dissolution, child custody, spousal support and abuse, neglect and dependency cases. In the field of criminal defense, her experience includes felonies, misdemeanors, juvenile delinquency charges, traffic charges and DUI cases.

An Ohio native, Mary graduated magna cum laude from John Carroll University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English. During her studies at John Carroll, Mary volunteered her time to various campus organizations dedicated to thwarting violence against women. As a result of her contributions, Mary received the Political Science Department's Exemplary Service Award and was inducted into the prestigious honor societies Alpha Sigma Nu and The Order of Omega.

Attorney Santez is a proud alumna of the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, where she received her Juris Doctorate. While she was attending law school at John Marshall in Cleveland, Mary served as the Vice-Chair of the school’s competitive Moot Court Team and was recognized the Best Oralist at the National Appellate Advocacy Regional Competition in Lansing, Michigan. During her law school studies, Mary served as a Certified Legal Intern with the Cuyahoga County Public Defender's Office where she represented clients in their felony and juvenile divisions. Attorney Sanchez was also a two-time recipient of the Mary Kashner Becker Public Interest Fellowship, in recognition of her community service.

After being admitted to the Ohio Bar as a lawyer, Mary opened a solo law practice encompassing domestic relations and criminal defense. Prior to joining Weisenburger Law Offices, Mary practiced with the Norman & Tayeh law firm, concentrating on domestic relations law and criminal defense, including felonies.

Attorney Santez is dedicated to professional excellence, and prides herself on her personal approach to her client's individual needs, concerns and priorities. Mary believes that strong advocacy requires both reasoned negotiation as well as decisive courtroom strategies.
